Oh yeah! I actually thought for a instant of a witty BLFaith song ref I might insert but it was taking too much energy so I just went with the emotion of the moment.

As mentioned to Flow in the other thread (sorry, folks--but without too much of a stretch we can link Giants to the DEAD, right?), I have a long family interest if not my # 1 sport...any kid of the 60s knows all the names of the Giants greats whether they were a fan or not...

I just now read your response to Flow. My 42 year obsession with the grateful dead is eclipsed in years only by my obsession with baseball. I've been an American League fan my whole life, but I always had a sense of admiration and a soft spot for the Giants. They have waited a long time for their day in the sun.

Interesting that both you and Duckpond thought of Blind Faith, because I thought it was going to be a reference to a cover of a Buddy Holly song!!

Congrats to the Giants. Well deserved as their outstanding pitching and timely hitting made them by far the best team in the playoffs.

Linecum was outstanding, as were Wilson and Bumgarner and the clutch hitting did the trick . . . The Blind Faith tune referenced was indeed their cover of that same Buddy Holly song.
